Understand Hair Loss : Where it begins. Main Causes.

Normal Hair Loss is 50 to 100 hairs daily. Your hair is continually falling out and re-growing. This hair loss and hair growth cycle repeats itself between 10 to 20 times in a lifetime. The loss of more than 100 hairs daily for a period of months is excessive, and can lead to ALOPECIA (total or partial baldness). You may have more than just one factor involved with your particular condition. In fact, it is quite common to have multiple causes of hair loss.

HORMONAL : DHT YOUR HAIR WORST ENEMY
This is the most common form of Male and Female Pattern Baldness and the most damaging process in hair loss. Your body naturally produces the hormone testosterone. It happens in everyone. When testosterone mixes with the Sebum/dirt substance that is impacted in your follicle, it creates a powerful substance called DHT. DHT is the real enemy of hair growth and retention. When formed, DHT causes the follicle to begin shutting down, and basically, the follicle dies a slow death. This type of hair loss is commonly known as Androgenetic Alopecia. What makes this worse is that your bodies immune system senses the follicle is dying, and as part of its defense system, tries to further shut it down and get rid of it (as it would a cold or flu). What effect does a dying, clogged follicle have on an actual hair strand? If you pulled out a hair strand from your follicle, and looked at the root end of the hair strand under a microscope, you would see the hardened sebum/dirt substance on the root of the strand. What you are seeing is just a small amount of this material. The rest of it is in the hair follicle. At the root of every strand of hair is a bulb. When Sebum builds up in the follicles, it deteriorates the bulb of the hair. Slowly, the bulbs get smaller, and because of this, your hair is not rooted as well and the hair strand falls out. Then another hair strand grows from the follicle, but this hair strand is thinner and weaker than the last one. This process repeats itself, with the next hair getting thinner and the bulb smaller each time the old one falls out. This is why most men and women experience thinning hair as they are losing it. The unfortunate ending is a hair follicle so damaged from Sebum, bacteria, and DHT production that the follicle dies.

The reduction of "DHT" levels in the scalp tissue is critical in stopping hair loss.

INSUFFICIENT VASCULAR CIRCULATION
Hair grows from follicles beneath the skin. The base of the follicle, the derma papilla, has a bulb like shape. The growth of healthy hair can be negatively effected by an inadequate supply of blood to the derma papilla. Multi-Factors stimulates a rich flow of blood to the scalp tissue in order to bring Oxygen, Vitamins, Nutrients, Essential Fatty Acids, Proteins, Anti-Oxidants, and Amino Acids to the derma papilla and hair follicles. Enervating Micro Circulation is essential in stopping hair loss and promoting healthy hair growth.

SEBUM
Sebum is an oily, waxy like substance that is secreted to the scalp tissue by Sebacaceous Glands. Sebum actually plays an important role in the health of your scalp, but overproduction of Sebum caused by stress (this is a major cause of Hair Loss And Sebum Buildup Loss In Women) and a diet high in animal fat creates excess Sebum secretion. When the sebum leaves your underlying scalp layer, it reaches the surface of your scalp and mixes with the dirt and hair care product residues. Because the sebum is now on your scalp and exposed to air, it hardens (oxidizes) and creates a thick, black, tar like substance. This hardened substance clogs your hair follicle entrance. The bacteria in this substance damages the follicle and is one of the major causes of hair loss.(For those of you who do not know, the hair follicles are the millions of little canals in your scalp in which your hair grows from.) After years of this occurring (your whole life), the tar-like material becomes impacted in the follicle. The result is blockage of nutrient absorption to the follicle, thus impeding hair growth. This type of problem is a major hair loss cause that can be stopped.
